Kashmiri Mongra Saffron
The world's rarest and finest red gold — handpicked from the Himalayan highlands of India, Mongra grade, ISO 3632 compliant and roughly three times more potent than common saffron.
Grown in rich, well-drained alluvial soil under a cool temperate climate with snow-fed irrigation, Kashmiri saffron benefits from high elevation — which brings natural pest resistance and a stronger, more complex aroma. Like Champagne or Darjeeling tea, it is GI-tagged: protected by its geography.
It is organically grown with no synthetic chemicals, pesticides, or GMOs. Crocus bulbs are hand-planted and stigmas hand-plucked at dawn during a brief autumn bloom, then sun-dried. Nothing is wasted — even the petals are repurposed for skincare.
Mongra refers to the deepest, all-red portion of the saffron thread — no yellow or white styles. It carries a strong floral-honey aroma with earthy undertones and the highest concentration of crocin (colour) and safranal (aroma).
Every batch is 100% pure, lab-tested, and ISO 3632 compliant. Because the harvest is so limited — only October to November — availability is scarce, and the potency is roughly three times that of common varieties.
